Home Improvement Center & Recreational Development located at T.B. Jayah Mawatha (Darley Road), Colombo.

A visionary mixed-use development proposal aimed at creating Sri Lanka’s first integrated Home Improvement Center and Recreational Destination within the heart of Colombo’s Central Business District.

The project focused on the adaptive reuse and renovation of existing historic buildings while introducing new facilities to support retail, lifestyle, and recreational activities. The development was planned in two phases, creating a unique destination that combines commercial functions with public-oriented recreational experiences.

Located on a historically significant site facing Beira Lake, the project responds to the urban character of Colombo while recognizing the potential of the waterfront as a major recreational asset. The design approach considers the site's heritage value, surrounding urban context, and future development potential to create a vibrant destination within the city.

The project site extends approximately 4 acres, 1 rood, and 34.29 perches (18,089.80 sq. m) and is owned by Capital Maharaja.
